5 /5 Ian Guest: Stumbled across this pub by accident and very glad I did. Really cool old building, staff were really friendly and pizza was great. Loved the pictures on the wall explaining the history of the pub and details of some of the occupants of the graveyard next door. Good evening music too.

5 /5 Charles Paterson: Been a regular here for a while, and its one of my favourite spots. The bar staff are always friendly and make you feel at home straight away. The pizzas are incredible – always cooked to perfection with fresh ingredients. Seriously, if you love pizza, this place is a must! The atmosphere is just spot on too – relaxed but buzzing at the same time. It’s got that perfect balance of being lively but not too noisy, so you can enjoy your drinks and food without shouting to be heard. If you’re looking for a proper, historic, pub with great food and a fantastic vibe, this is definitely the place to go. Always look forward to my next visit!

5 /5 Kim Blue: There are so few old, atmospheric pubs left in London. It has a wonderful interior, comfortable sofas, and a bar where you can always sit and chat with the bartender. Speaking of which, the staff is incredibly friendly, always helpful, Danny and Daniel, and of course Karolina. I love the selection of beer and spirits. Now they also have a mulled wine and cider. Enjoy drinking next to a classic, oldstyle fireplace. Im glad I discovered this place; Ill be back.

I ordered a beer and sat down at a table that was sticky and unclean, which immediately ruins the mood when all you want is to relax and enjoy your drink. But the biggest problem wasn’t the table - it was the music. The playlist was completely lifeless, filled with slow and uninspired tracks that drained all the energy from the room. It didn’t make me want to enjoy my beer - it made me want to finish it and leave. A good pub should make you want to stay for a second, third, or even fifth beer, not send you home after one. The atmosphere here gives you no motivation to stay or enjoy yourself. Honestly, the owners should take a look at how pubs and beer halls work in Greece - where the music has heart, passion, and energy, and people actually feel good, have fun, and keep ordering more drinks. That’s what a real pub experience should feel like. Play some real rock music from the ’70s, ’80s, or ’90s - classics from artists like Ozzy, Guns and Roses, Simple Minds, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, or Oasis - songs that make people smile, sing along, and enjoy their beer. That’s the kind of energy that brings customers back. Right now, this place is missing the soul and atmosphere that every good pub needs. And that’s a loss for the business, not the customer.

4 /5 Priyanka Dass Saharia: A gorgeous pub, handsome and just that amount of character in this part of London that doesn’t amount to pastiche. Interiors are well polished and the mulled wine is absolutely delicious. They have an extensive cocktail list though food is limited to pizzas and sides. Their Guinness tiramisu ran out before evening service so I’m guessing either there are quite a few locals and loyalists or it’s a menu highlight — or both!
