Leigh Harris Every visit to the Premier team is super friendly and fantastic service. We like to order online and pick up. The chicken shish is SO tasty and super fresh. 100% recommendation to anyone looking for really good food!

Andrew Downing The developing (as of end 2025) Caravan Tech outreach program? Seriously, not only did Caravan Tech fit me in for pressing work on my motorhome, at very short notice, Ian bussed me the short journey to the Merriments Café. Where we got a very dog-friendly welcome and settled into a log-burner heated snug with leather sofas and chairs. The rising price of coffees is not confined to this place, however. A popular venue which comprises tiled floors, country pine tables and some imaginative use of umbrellas hung from the conservatory-styled roof, to combat heat gain. Decent Wi-Fi helps, too. At the time of writing the early stages of the project plan to move the CT side of the business to this site is evident. My experience of both the café, the sale of equipment and spares and the workshop have been exemplary. Kudos. There is a baked goods display and a kitchen turning out food which seemed to go down just fine. I will happily return

Mel C A great place to eat. Now on my staycation list. I have not tasted calamari like this before. No over crisped coating, not oily and very flavoursome. I enquired about the coating used and was advised it was cornflour, so hopefully that info is correct. I usually go for the octopus, which comes with chips and salad. They do get busy, but the setting along the canal makes it worth it, especially when the weather is good.

Mon Sushi -

Rating: 4.9 /5
Jacklyn Low Tried this restaurant for the first time while celebrating my sons birthday and the whole family thought it was a great success (and were saying this as people with high food expectations!). Mon Sushi is clearly a hidden gem but should be visited by anyone who enjoys quality sushi, generous portions and great service at very reasonable prices. We used eat at the other 2 Japanese restaurants further up the North Finchley high road because for many years, they were the main options. However, now that we know Mon Sushi is here, this has won top spot as our favourite local Japanese. They team provided very warm, friendly service and gave my son his dessert on the house as a birthday treat too. Sushi was of good quality, tempura cooked in fresh tasting oil and the salad portions were the most generous of all the many Japanese restaurants weve been to both in Finchley and in Central London. As it was a celebration, we had a generous amount of food but even if you came with a £15-25 budget, you would find it possible to have a more than satisfyingly full meal. Highly recommend!

Fabienne Just up the road from us and absolutely great. The Oscar Wilde room is our favourite for a delicious freshly made cocktail and their Sunday lunch is always yummy. Lovely staff, great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

PD S Fantastic food and recommendations from the waitress. Korean Vegan Burger and Blondie Cookie Dough. Only negative is the restaurant is fairly noisy and layout is sub par (tables are so so close together). However still would 10/10 recommend for veggie and vegans! All their food is plant based!
