5 /5 Davide: Came here for a Sunday roast. The food was exquisite, probably the best roast I’ve had so far, the lamb was particularly good! Great portions and even better quality. Definitely giving this a solid 10/10. The atmosphere was very cozy and relaxed, the service was great, bathrooms clean and overall a very pleasant experience.

5 /5 jay 84: This is a great pub in a super location. It has such a lovely feel to it. The staff were all great and very helpful. Couldnt fault the service and the food was of a very high standard. The open fire was roaring too which was a nice touch on a chilly winters afternoon. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for a pub in the area.

1 /5 Richard and Diana Schmidt: 27 December. Manager is really obnoxious. Was intent on making us feel unwelcome. There are so many timesyou can hear a spiteful “are you ok?” before you take it as unwelcoming. Clearly was interested in keeping the pub as empty as possible on a day where he found it stressful to have more than 5 tables despite having more staff than tables occupied. Given he is a salaried employee of Fullers of I was the regional manager of the area I would review his behaviour and performance.

3 /5 oliver S: A very pleasant pub tucked away in a quiet area. The pub itself has great service and atmosphere, but I was very disappointed with the food. There were 8 of us at the table and everyone had the same opinion. The food is tasteless and below average for a pub with such a history and reputation. It is pointless to come up with fancy names for the dishes if the food itself tastes like a microwaved ready meal. However, the service is fantastic, fast and friendly. There are clean toilets and there is plenty of free parking around the pub.
