3 /5 Razaul Hoque: Visited Phat For Life over the weekend with a group of friends. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who were upfront about how busy it was and advised us to place our order and wait outside until a table became available.
We decided to go for the £90 Jaal Platter, which looked impressive on the menu. After waiting around 20 minutes, we were invited inside to wait for our food. The restaurant has additional seating downstairs — it’s quite compact, and the noise level is quite high, so just something to be aware of if you prefer a quieter dining experience.
When the platter arrived, it was definitely generous in size and visually appealing. The food itself was decent for the price, though I’d recommend ordering individual meals if you’re not a big eater. The portions are huge, and it would be a shame to waste food.
Everything served is halal, and overall, it was an okay experience — friendly service, a lively atmosphere, and good value if you’re sharing as a group.
