What Clients Are Saying The Old Coal Yard Cafe (GG)
5 /5 Lizzie King: So happy to find this place! I went with my baby today and wow the food was amazing (I took away the bone broth). Amazing green juice and coffee. Friendly staff. Just the perfect, relaxed place with food like you would love to cook at home but don’t have the time/ ingredients/ skill! Wish this place every success (but not so well that I can’t get a table)
(PS just a ramp would be helpful into the place for disabled users and prams - there may be one that I missed and I can update this if so)
5 /5 Kiri Alford: Lovely and very well made flat white, delicious chicken bone broth, yummy looking cakes, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, peaceful location. Loved it! And lovely to see Chloe after being a fan of her previous place in Charlbury.
5 /5 Jeremy Van Dyke: Fantastic food and very friendly staff.
5 /5 Ann Watson: This is my favourite place to go for a coffee! Very local, delicious proper coffee and decent breakfast baps. Very friendly/welcoming too.
C L Had our evening meal here and it was delicious, some of the best pub food I have had. Freya the waitress was so lovely and attentive, will definitely be back here!
Nikki Biggs Its rare were welcomed into a curry house with our service dog, but this was a very warm welcome. The service was second to none - personal, attentive and genuine. Great food at a very reasonable price. Thank you for such a lovely evening!
Tom Hester This M&S Foodhall is a great example of the brand. It’s a good size, well stocked, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is easy to navigate, and its location in the town is really convenient. A pleasant and reliable place to shop.
Daz Keal What can we say, what a wonderful trip to Diddly Squat. We stayed for lunch and chose the local pork sausage in a bun with skin on fries. The price was very reasonable at £7.50 for the sausage bun and £5 for the skin on fries. Service was prompt and the sausages were the best we had on our trip. You could taste the quality of the produce. After lunch we visited the shop where the staff were equally as friendly. Well worth a trip.
Francis Harper This is an outstanding little gem of a restaurant. Despite being rather busy, the atmosphere was so relaxed, quiet and inviting.
The food was outstanding, with great portion sizes. I had to ask how the chef had cooked the bacon because it was amazing.
The staff were first class. The young lady who served us was such a delight and attentive; she made us feel at home.
Barry Dodman-Edwards We have just had Christmas dinner there. 2 courses which were really tasty and excellent value for money. In fact, it would be good value in this area if it were twice the price. The service was excellent and we didn’t feel crammed in. Well done everyone Barry - 3 Horseshoes Inn, Charlbury.
