Alyce King Incredible Sunday Lunch ! You MUST book for Sunday lunch (as walk in spaces rare). Two sittings, arrivals 12-1230pm and 2-230pm I believe. Great use of space for tables. Wheelchair accessible in one part of the restaurant (near back door), but when busy cant get to the toilet. Staff couldnt have been any more welcoming and helpful. Great atmosphere, background music level just right (sat under a speaker). The main issue is parking; the car park is not big enough if the pub is full - eg at Sunday lunchtime. Especially difficult if you are a blue badge holder and need to park close by. Low level lighting so low vision may struggle on certain tables.

Buns & Grills Marlborough - Berkshire

Jubayer J “Fantastic kebab from Buns and Grills! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, and the portion size was just right. The service was friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for quality takeaway. Will definitely be ordering again!”

The Funghi Club Marlborough - Berkshire

Vanessa Westwell In July, I had a slightly disappointing visit, and so I was impressed when The Funghi Club team invited me back to try again, on the house! Today was a sunny, Tuesday lunchtime and I chose to sit inside in the bar area for a change. It was quiet at 12.15pm, but it soon filled up with lots of happy ladies who lunch, and some couples and small family groups. There was quite a buzz! There is a quieter area at the back of the bar area, if you want a calmer atmosphere. Nicole and her team were all very friendly and welcoming. There was a lot to choose from on the Menu and Specials. In the end I chose the Daily Special, which was a generously sized portion of Tuna Nicoise Salad for ÂŁ16.50. The fine green beans were cooked perfectly with a little crunch. The salad dressing was tasty. If you prefer your Tuna Steak to not have any pink in the middle, please let your Server know. To follow, I had a Raspberry Tarte from the extensive, chilled Patisserie Selection. It was the perfect combination of a generous topping of fresh raspberries, atop some creamy, creme patisserie and a light, crunchy, pastry case. When your Tarte pastry almost leaps off the plate at the first tap of the fork, you know its cooked perfectly! Thank you very much. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. And I really appreciate your generosity and taking the trouble to put things right.

The Whod A Thought It Pub - Berkshire

Rating: 4.6 /5
Daniel Lane Pub grub at its flavoursome, big-portioned, piping-hot finest. We had a wander round the stones at Avebury and topped up on some spiritualism, and this was the slap up delicious hot dinner we needed to see off the cold December day. Fire was burning, the pub dog was very welcoming, and the staff were lovely. 100% recommend. It even has a book exchange. Top stuff.

Pamela Tshabalala I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this Indian restaurant! The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the spices were balanced just right. What truly made the visit exceptional was the outstanding service provided by Sadek Ahmed. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His warm hospitality made us feel welcome and valued throughout the meal. If you’re looking for delicious Indian cuisine paired with top-notch service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Zaika Indian Restaurant - Marlborough - Berkshire

Rating: 4.5 /5
Shantanu Rahman I have been in the UK for more than 20 years now. Being originally from India, I never had a great experience in any Indian cuisine restaurant here in the UK. They all try to bring a weird taste to Indian cuisine thinking that would cater well to British and migrated Asian palate better. But I have to admit that I had an amazing experience and joy when I visited The Zaika Inn at Marlborough last week. The food is simply mind-blowing! You can rarely get this sort of fabulous food even in extremely high-end 5 star hotels and restaurants in India. The taste, presentation and quality of service was exemplary. The menu is so original and food is prepared with fresh, authentic spices. I even had the privilege of talking to the owner and Chef, Mr Biswas. He is such a passionate restaurateur. His love for cooking and serving his customers is easily palpable and that is the USP of The Zaika Inn. I strongly recommend this restaurant to all. If you have not visited this place then you have not tasted real Indian cuisine.
