1 /5 Carina Kusi: Ordered a takeaway through deliveroo and I excitedly waited for my order, I then realised that my order was running very late and the app was providing no real time information. I called up China Garden ( after waiting to be spoken to as they were busy) I eventually spoke to someone who had informed me that my order would be there soon, 45 mins later after placing my order the food still hadn’t arrived. I called them and they said “ it had been delivered” you could imagine mine and my two small children’s surprise as we had not eaten, nor received the order. I had at this point had more than enough, I contacted Deliveroo who annoyingly informed me that as China Garden had used their own driver, they were unable to do anything. So lucky me and my kids. No food. No refund and No apology!
In the end it turns out my order had been delivered to my neighbour across the road and they kindly knocked and gave us our delivery! Suffice to say I can not say anything positive about this experience. Order here if you don’t mind your order being dropped just about anywhere and no offer of apology or compensation for your troubles. Oh yes, I called this restaurant back to inform them of their mistake and was met with “‘we are very busy, we will call you back!” Spoiler! Nobody has called me back!
