Mark C The food was absolutely delicious and well-prepared. The flavors were balanced and fresh, with each ingredient complementing the others perfectly. The presentation was appealing, making the dish even more enjoyable. Portions were satisfying, and the quality matched the price. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for tasty, well-made food.

Christine Matthias-Jones This is our local pub so we may be a tad biased…… but we always enjoy coming here! In the week it’s always quite quiet in the evening, with a decent 2 meals for £15 deal. It gets more lively at the weekend (or whenever there’s live sport on the tv!). It was re-decorated following the 2024 floods so the inside feels open, modern and nicely decorated. There’s a great selection of drinks - especially the beer on tap, and gin too. The Sunday roast it bargain for money - a big win with the family!!

Pcacton675 You could have been in a small cafe in Italy inside! Superb food and friendly happy staff. And the smell of the pinsa and dough baking was amazing. Really good authentic Italian Pinsa and a delicious variety on the menu. Awesome decor. A great find and dont hesitate to drop in, Im sure you wont be disappointed. Nice one .

Mioma Priora Tucked away in the charmingly narrow Friars Entry, The White Rabbit is a standout pub for its dedicated craft beer selection and playful Alice in Wonderland theme. It’s a cosy, eclectic space filled with curious decor, mismatched furniture, and a genuinely welcoming vibe that appeals to both locals and in-the-know visitors. From my perspective, this is a top choice for a relaxed evening focused on quality drinks. The constantly rotating taps showcase excellent local and national craft ales, making it a destination for beer enthusiasts. The food menu complements this perfectly, focusing on hearty, shareable pub classics with a gourmet twist. While the burgers are solid, the standout is their sourdough pizza. The dough is fermented in-house, giving it a fantastic texture, and the topping combinations are creative yet balanced. The ‘Fun-Guy’ (wild mushrooms, truffle oil, and garlic) is a particular highlight. The loaded fries (try the ‘Dirty Fries’ with cheese, bacon, and jalapeños) also make for a perfect beer-sharing snack. Portions are generous, so consider sharing a pizza and a side. Go in the late afternoon or early evening to secure a table in the quirky, cave-like back room. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to guide your beer choice to pair with your food. Don’t come for a quiet, historic pub experience—come for vibrant atmosphere, excellent modern pub fare, and some of the best craft beer in central Oxford. It’s a wonderfully whimsical and satisfying escape.

michelle lavoie okay let me just say that this pub is genuinely a real life “needle in a haystack.” it’s so quaint and cute, all the staff are exceptionally friendly. it’s got that old but quaint charm to it. could maybe do with a repaint, but hey, that’s my biggest complaint. sunday roast was phenomenal. staff were phenomenal. i was served by dom and an american girl who were on their A game given how busy it was. they were so lovely. will definitely be back.
