Restaurant Interlude - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Paul Fisher: We visited this venue about five years ago and it remains amongst my all time favourites after 134 michelin stars. We visited today and perfection has been enhanced! Staff were so welcoming and attentive. Almost every aspect has been tweaked to even a higher standard. Each course again stunning presentation AND flavours. Such a story told through tge cards they give you with each course plus the verbal explanation by the chefs. Its hard to identify a favourite, as all were superb. I guess the duck course and the final chocolate dessert are a tiny bit ahead of the others. My only grouch was the missing (this time) the incredible biltong carrot, but superb replacements. A venue that is so focussed upon most ingredients coming from their own estate. Toilets beautiful too. I was sad it didnt get the second star it richly deserves

5 /5 cy malau: One of the best fine dining restos we’ve been in the UK. Great food and atmosphere. Innovative. Love that they use local ingredients with an interesting twist. The rabbit and carrot and the cod with the South African bun are the highlights of the meal.

5 /5 Rob Wood: We initially went here for lunch, and it was quite the experience. Ive had testing menus before where I get home afterwards and fancy a biscuit! Not this time, I was absolutely stuffed. Superb food, wonderful presentation, and top class service. Not cheap, but worth it. We were so impressed we splashed out and took some gourmet-loving friends with us for dinner. They were ecstatic over it. 13 courses of sublime creations, every one a little work of art (I skipped the mini doughnuts because I couldnt fit any more in!). If I had one complaint its that the wine is so expensive, I think overpriced. They could do with some reasonably priced bottles, as we struggled to find anything under £60. If I knock a star off for this, then its still five stars as it is a six star experience.
