Sakonis - (Near Harrow, South East)

3 /5 Gov Mandora: This was a birthday family lunch letdown by slow service. That we booked online and mentioned it was a birthday celebration. We were placed in a table in the middle of the restaurant when other tables were empty? Anyway menus are on the table and have all the Gujaratri favourites that Sakoni is famous for. We had to wait over 15 mins to order and had to usher them to take our order? The food and order was taken and repeated back by waiter. They still got it slightly wrong but gave an alternative dish as an apology. The food and drinks were all Sakoni quality. We had faludo, palak chat, khurruru, khichi, puri bhaji and the highlight was Shrikand & puri. The bill including service was eye watering based on just ordering 4 starters, one main and one dessert between us came to £25 per head. No mention of the birthday by the restaurant was also a bit disappointing. Good for a treat only and be prepared to wait for service!

3 /5 Ashish Savaliya: We visited for dinner and ordered chole bhature and a grilled sandwich. Unfortunately, both tasted below average. The presentation and serving were poor — the chole bhature came without the usual accompaniments like pickle or garnish, which was disappointing. Overall, not a good dining experience.

3 /5 Varinder Kaur: Been a few times and usually average, however this time food quality in terms of taste and presentation was below expected. I feed this back and feedback was taken positively so hopefully should not have this issue again. Chilli paneer is still my favourite here!

5 /5 Ishaan Vyas: Sakonis on Hatch End high street is a wonderful place for a relaxed family meal. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and inviting, making it perfect for dining with family or friends. The food is absolutely delicious, with a great variety of dishes on the menu — from Indian favourites to Indo-Chinese options, so there’s something for everyone. It’s fully vegetarian and everything we tried was fresh and full of flavour. The restaurant itself is very clean and well-maintained, and they also offer a good selection of drinks to complement the meal. Highly recommend Chili Paneer and Chili garlic mogo. Consistently great food and a lovely vibe — highly recommended.

5 /5 Nora Vyas: Incredible food and good service. Love the chilli paneer, chilli tofu, dosa and samosa chat! My friend ordered the saag paneer with puri - spicy but she added yoghurt and it was okay.
