Superfish - (Near Merton, South East)

5 /5 Sofee E: Have just finished a thoroughly enjoyable cod and chips with salt, lemon and extra vinegar. It was nicely presented in a box which kept it all hot and was easy to eat from. Chips were perfect as was the fish and batter. I ordered a small portion but there was plenty there. The restaurant was clean, the person who served us was friendly and efficient. All was freshly cooked and I would highly recommend a visit. Next time I will be eating in as the restaurant menu had jam roly poly on the menu with custard or ice cream.

5 /5 Dia Garrido: I have eaten here several time. The food is delicious, cooked to order, piping hot a large portions. Freddie, the waiter, is fantastic. He really cares about making the diners experience great. I highly recommend it.

5 /5 Simon Birch: What a wonderful fish and chip shop this is. I went with a friend yesterday on her recommendation. Scott, the owner, greeted me and chatted to me like an old friend. We sat in the restaurant and ordered the cod, chips and mushy peas. It was superb and the portions were very generous. Afterwards we had the butterscotch tart and custard which I had not eaten since my schooldays. I could not believe how comforting and filling it was. Freddie was our waiter and he was so polite and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend visiting during the week when it is quieter as the weekends can see queues outside the door.

1 /5 SK: Visited 7pm, Wed 22 Oct. Fryer’s technique was horrible. Oil was black and heated to full whack - and instead of cleaning the oil as you go, scraps on the side were swept in. No wonder the whole meal tasted like dirty burnt oil. When the oil is half the meal please keep it clean, clear and a good temperature. I suggest 170°C. EDIT: 3 hours later, the bitterness of the burnt oil lingers in my mouth. Urgh!

5 /5 The Crusader: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by a cheerful member of staff and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a lovely window seat with lots of natural daylight, which made the experience even better. The restaurant was spotless, very clean and hygienic. The service was fantastic , attentive without ever being pushy, and no attempts at the dreaded “upsell.” Instead, we were kindly offered free accompaniments like ketchup and mayo. To our surprise, we were even treated to complimentary self peeling prawns with bread and butter , such a thoughtful touch. The food itself was excellent. The fish was fresh, perfectly white and flaky, the chips were cooked to perfection, and nothing was greasy. The curry sauce was also delicious and paired really well with the meal. Without doubt, this is the very best chippie in the UK. A real gem in Morden, not far from the tube station. Worth the journey. Highly recommended.
