The King William IV Pub - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Olivia Silvey: From the renovation, to the service, to the delicious food- as a local, I feel VERY lucky to have such a fantastic pub on my doorstep. As somebody with a gluten intolerance, I am always skeptical when attending pubs of whether they will be able to cater to my needs. When I first attended for food, I was blown away by what could be adapted to be gluten free and how helpful the staff were with this. I ended up getting the Billy Burger with the blue sauce in the most INCREDIBLE gluten free bun! GF bread can be so hit or miss but they smashed it with this. Last night, when attending the football match (I recommend you go to the Billy to watch, it was fab!!), I ordered the Caesar and it genuinely was the best Caesar salad (gone gluten free) that I have ever eaten. I would definitely recommend this special !! Not only is the food, the building and pub garden fabulous, but the staff are just as amazing. There is nothing too much for them and they always have a smile on their faces. Thank you to everyone at the King William for bringing such a wonderful pub to our village!

4 /5 Laurel Sayer: Fantastic quality of service, convivial atmosphere, and a lovely log fire make this a great pub to visit since the new management took over and completely refurbished it in 2024. We regularly enjoy their Light Bites luncheon menu and I can very highly recommend the smoked haddock Scotch eggs. Delicious. Even the coffee is worth a mention. Keep up the great work.

5 /5 Gareth Miller: Went for Sunday lunch and left very content. Two of us so had the sharing fish platter to start and then a lamb and a pork roast followed by desserts. Everything was excellent, including the service. Dog friendly, too.

5 /5 Chris Baker: Our first visit since they reopened and we were impressed. A smart modern interior decor, a well tended beer garden, and a new patio area. We had a burger and a sandwich for lunch, which were both very good quality. The only disappointment was that the Shere Drop was off, so we had to opt for Hogs Back Tea, but that was just bad timing. Note the car park is a little small and visibility coming out isnt the best. Recommended.
