5 /5 Sally HEWSTONE: I havent a clue what people say on these posts. We are a group of ladies who regularly dine here at lunch time. The food is lovely. Freshly cooked and lunchtime menu is only £15.00 on the lunch menu. You do not have to stick to it. You can choose from the regular menu with individual prices. This is not the cheapest chinese in Romford but you get what you pay for, and we love the food and the staff. We think the portion sizes are great and the lunch menu choice runs to 26 set pieces. To say the food is bland is outrageous as that is a personal preference. If you like spicier more seasoned food go elsewhere next time, thats your choice. However, dont try and destroy someones business.

Every dish tastes fresh and high quality, and it never disappoints no matter what you order. 5 /5 Julian Hilaire: Went here on a Saturday night in Feb 2026 to celebrate a great friend of mines birthday who was born with Downs Syndrome. My friend was spoilt rotten by the hardworking, staff, and made to feel even more special than we all knew he was. Treated with great professionalism and care they really went the extra mile for him and his guests..no one left dissapointed or early! Its the first time I have been here and it was a treat. The family had hired out the top floor of this cosy restaurant and booked for 35 people to have a chinese meal ...Starters , Mains and Birthday Cake! I had heard great things about the Blue Orchid but it was so much better than great its the best Chinese outside China Town in London/Essex Food was plentiful, fresh filling and so tasty. There were 5 tables with 6-7 people on each with the circular sharing spinning server in the middle....though it was hard to share it made for a great social meal. Starters of Crispy Seaweed , sweet, sprinkled with cuttlefish, and tasty Spring rolls,Sweet And Sour Pork Hong Kong Style Pork pieces in a light batter, cooked in a sweet and sour sauce with onions, pineapples and green peppers...we would gladly fought each other for these ...and the spicy Deep Fried Shredded Beef With Chilli Shredded strips of beef in a sweet sugar glaze..perfect MAINS came along Special fried rice in abundance and with abundance of taste and King Prawns With Ginger And Spring Onions,Chicken In Sweet Chilli Sauce (Spicy) Noodles, Chicken Chow Mein and Deep Fried Sweet And Sour Chicken Balls...all delightful, A great idea, a great place to spend a birthday, and highly recommend these guys...a. treat.
