1 /5 Orit Mutznik: We were the first customers of the official opening. Very excited given the great experience at Mazal and how exciting the menu is. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
Starting with positives. The pitas were fantastic and so was the blooming onion - thats it, out of a full table.
We understand the place is brand new, but even when we expected things to not run smoothly from a service perspective, there are minimal standards that were not met.
Unfortunately, the dishes took way too long to be ready even when it was just us in the whole restaurant. Everything came out at the wrong order and starters came last. It was especially disappointing that the schnitzels we ordered to the table took the longest yet came out raw...
Complaining about it was ignored. The staff was too busy at that point to care and in general looking very confused and very hard to communicate with.
The asado had an amount of onions that completely overpowered the dish, an odd choice, when asado doesnt come with onions at all (as an Argentine) not sure where they got the idea.
On top of this, the prices are very high. My husband and I ate a pita each with blooming onion and chips £50. Ouch. Our friends spent way more with 3 kids and got raw schnitzels.
Very disappointed. I know things can be better, so I am open to give it another chance when things improve and update this review, as it is not my intention to ruin a small business.
Im sorry I am giving this review in hopes for someone to care more than they did when we were there and change things so I can come back cause I see so much potential.
