5 /5 AR Saif (Dr Saif): I highly recommend Roti King if youâre new to Malaysian food or simply love bold, comforting flavours. We visited as a group of two and had a fantastic meal overall.
We ordered the roti with mutton, which was the clear highlight. The roti was beautifully flaky and soft, perfect for dipping, and the mutton curry was rich, deeply spiced, and very filling without being overwhelming. Everything tasted freshly made and full of flavour. To drink, we had teh tarik (hot), which was smooth, comforting, and nicely balancedânot overly sweet and a great complement to the meal.
Service was friendly and efficient, even though the restaurant was busy. One thing to note is that seating is quite limited and tightly packed, so the space can feel a bit claustrophobic. You also canât book in advance, so expect to queue. That said, our wait was around 15â20 minutes, which felt very reasonable.
If youâre sensitive to spice, this may not be the best choice, but if you enjoy flavourful food with a bit of heat, itâs absolutely worth it. Overall, Roti King delivers delicious food, great value, and a genuinely satisfying experience. Weâd happily go back again.
