They create a welcoming and comfortable environment, they serve delicious vegan food, and are really generous with their portions and ethos. I went there for dinner and left full and fulfilled! I took away leftovers for future meals, and will definitely return for more!

South London isnt a fittingly mystical enough location for the magical heart-centred gemstone of a soul food epicentre that is Amrutha. I LOVE everything about this place. It is THE best food Ive ever eaten, colourful, deliciously mouth watering, full and creamy, pickled and sharp, crunchy and sour, gloopy and sweet - so many layers of mindfulness. The atmosphere in the beautifully zen building is accentuated by the gorgeous team members who bring love and joy to each check-in. The ethos of the place is absolutely stunning, with meals offered in exchange for time if you cant afford it, pay-as-you-feel, supporting homeless - just all beautiful loving, supportive, heart-chakas goodness to accompany the divine dishes. Theres a million more words, but the only word thats needed it "go". You must go.

5 /5 What you need to know!: Overall: Food: Vegan / South Indian An easy five stars for this place. It was a first time visit for a group of us and like going on holiday the experience begins at the airport. In Amrutha’s case it started with a really good reservation experience on the phone. Warm, friendly and chatty and time was taken to accommodate the questions asked without feeling rushed at all. The standout is the service - a nod to Maya who principally looked after our table and every single interaction with her colleagues was great. This is really unusual in London and I eat out a lot. The initial amuse-bouche of beet gazpacho was not only delicious it was beautifully presented. The food is served thali style but in separate dishes for everyone to share. It’s priced per person (£33 and £37 for the Grande selection respectively at the time of writing this - desserts extra) and you can eat as much as you like as they refill as you go. At first this buffet style pricing set up didn’t sit well because how much of a small selection can one really eat. But then when you think about the effort all this food takes to make despite it being relatively low cost items and then consider the running costs and so on it doesn’t end up being that bad at all. I really enjoyed the whole experience and will go back but would like to wait until the menu changes to try something else. Arrive hungry and be assured you’ll leave full. I hope this place lasts. I mean really good. • The food was all very tasty • Simple menu concept (there is a limited à la carte) What I didn’t like: • Maybe more substantial main dishes over the lentils/masala • They ran out of a few items due to a busy lunch that day Do I recommend going? 5 /5 Josephine Carver: We had a wonderful dinner at Amrutha Lounge - the food was all delicious and the service was very welcoming and friendly. We opted for the grande menu, a selection of the chef’s dishes to share which are all bottomless, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate (including all non vegan friends). We can’t wait to return.
