1 /5 Barry Conway: I am beyond disappointed with our experience here. We visited for a birthday celebration on Sunday and, while the food was okay, the pricing is intentionally misleading and the management is completely unresponsive.
We were charged a staggering £42.90 per head for a buffet, but the issues started when the bill arrived:
The Deception: The receipt explicitly stated "Service Not Included." Based on this, we left a generous tip to be polite.
The "Scam": I have since found out that they reportedly bake a 10% service charge into the per-head cost without listing it as a separate line item or mentioning it on a menu. This directly contradicts what is printed on their own till receipts.
Zero Transparency: No menus with clear pricing were provided, leaving us in the dark until the bill arrived.
I sent a private email to the management five days ago asking for a simple explanation regarding these conflicting charges. They havent even had the courtesy to reply. It’s a shame when a business cares more about squeezing extra pounds out of customers through "hidden" fees than they do about basic communication. If you value transparency and being treated like a valued guest, go elsewhere. There are plenty of other restaurants that dont rely on these kinds of tactics.
