5 /5 ziang Guo: The food really delivers. The crispy pork belly on rice was excellent: perfectly crackly skin, juicy layers of meat, and generous portions. The shrimp rice noodle rolls were silky smooth with fresh prawns inside and a well-balanced soy sauce. Everything tasted freshly made, portions were satisfying, and service was efficient. A solid spot for authentic Cantonese dim sum and comfort food, especially if you’re craving proper Hong Kong–style dishes. Would definitely come back.

5 /5 Thomas Siu: Proper Cantonese yum cha, perfect for weekends. Great location with easy parking and very close to the DLR, which makes weekend visits super convenient. The menu has clear photos with both Chinese and English, so ordering is straightforward even if you’re not familiar with all the dishes. We had all the classics — har gow, cheung fun, char siu bao, turnip cake and pork congee — everything tasted traditional and comforting, just like proper old-school yum cha. Spacious venue, relaxed atmosphere and ideal for family gatherings. Definitely a solid spot for Cantonese dim sum in London.

One of the main factors was the constant noise of dishes, the clatter of carts carrying dishes, and the completely unprofessional etiquette of the staff who work with customers. One girl approached us, then another, then a third. If you start serving a table, you must serve it until the end. But it turns out that one comes, the second leaves, the third asks again, and the others dont understand. What did we order? And what didnt we order Most of the staff are, of course, Indian and Pakistani. Some of the guys have nails like women, not only do they have them. Theyre also dirty, but thats half the problem—theres dirt on the floor. And thats unacceptable. I dont know how things work anymore. Or how it works. I understand that maybe there were a lot of customers all day, but I also work in marketing and serve people, and cleanliness and the cleanliness of the people who serve you—you work with food—should be at a high level, especially for such food. The restaurant is spacious and well-organised, making it an easy choice even for walk-ins. We ordered a great selection of dishes, including three-combination rice, xiao long bao (so good we ordered them twice), pan-fried pork and vegetable buns, rice noodle rolls, chive dumplings, Singapore fried vermicelli, Thai-style boneless chicken feet, egg tarts, and silken tofu pudding. Everything arrived promptly and was consistently well-prepared, with clean flavours and good balance. The xiao long bao stood out with delicate wrappers and plenty of soup, while the Singapore noodles had excellent wok hei without being overpowering. Desserts were light and refreshing, rounding off the meal nicely. Service was efficient and attentive, and the location is very convenient—just one stop from Canary Wharf on the Elizabeth Line. Overall, China Palace is a dependable option for quality Chinese food in London, whether for a casual meal or a group gathering. No reservation needed, and definitely worth a visit.
