5 /5 Brian Lim: This place in Oxford is a hidden gem that instantly took me back to Malaysia. We went on Saturday right when they opened, but it got super busy by noon. We ordered Ho Fun with Scrambled egg and Penang Laksa. It was seriously as authentic as youd find in Malaysia. Overall, the food and vibe were fantastic, and Ill definitely be back!

I loved everything about it- the informal vibe, the decor, the food, and also the sense of humour of the staff! Really gave the authentic street food experience. Tried yu mee and nasi goreng. Both were delicious. Very large portions and reasonable prices. Pretty quick service.

5 /5 Jellyly: I completely agree that Kopitiam in Oxford is a hidden gem. This was my second visit, and I drove an hour specifically for the authentic food here—it’s that good! Top tip for parking: The main road outside (Banbury Road) is always busy and finding a space is a bit of a nightmare. I parked at the Summertown Car Park, which I believe is the nearest and easiest option. The restaurant itself is cosy and vibrant, with attentive staff. The service was lightning fast; our dishes arrived literally 15 minutes after ordering! We ordered a feast: Vegetarian Hot & Sour Soup, Tom Yum Soup, Chai Pu Tofu, Stewed Aubergine, Mee Goreng, and Vegetarian Fried Noodles. Highlights: • Vegetarian Hot & Sour Soup: It’s rare to find a vegetarian version in the UK that is this tasty and authentic. It was packed with vegetables, and the balance of spice and sourness was spot on. A brilliant starter. • Chai Pu Tofu: I highly recommend this! The deep-fried tofu is topped with crispy preserved radish (Chai Pu). The tofu was soft and fluffy on the inside with a golden, crisp exterior. The savoury crunch of the Chai Pu really elevated the dish—a perfect combination. • Mee Goreng: My friend ordered this and loved it. The sauce was rich and flavourful—definitely a signature dish. The Vegetarian Fried Noodles were also a solid classic with generous portions of veg. In short, I love Kopitiam not just for the fantastic food, but for the lively vibe. I would say it is hands down one of the best Asian restaurants in Oxford.

4 /5 Brutally honest Reviews: One of the best asian food in Oxford. I thought I flew back home while inside the restaurant fr. Nasi Lemak: 8/10 Rice could use more coconut powder, maybe have fried chicken instead of rendang. Sambal sauce is meh. Wonton mee: 9/10 Soup is good shit. Noodle type is accurate but need a stronger taste on the sauce. Char siew is good. Duck: 9/10 Crispy skin. Tender and juicy meat. Holy good shit. But sauce is not it. Its just soya sauce. Satay: 9/10 Weird that its a different texture. Sauce is good shit. Char Kway Teow: 5/10 Need a bit more seasoning but it tasted goooood still. Wish theres cockles tho. Second visit: isnt as good as the first time. I was lucky the first time Chicken rice: 6/10 Rice is over-seasoned. Chili tastes good. Chicken is ok. Soup is good Char siew, curry vege, beef rendang, sweet and sour pork, black pepper beef: 10/10 With good sauce it cant go wrong. Only bad things are the drinks tho. Ice milo taste like diluted chocolate milk. Bandung taste like sweetened strawberry milk. Lime juice is just ribena/roselle tea added with something sour But im guessing that they either cant import some ingredients and have to substitute them or to adapt to the UK peeps taste.

5 /5 Lindsey Park: The nasi lemak was just bursting with flavor and had everything I could ask for; the sambal and the crispy anchovies were my favorites. I ordered teh tarik (Malaysian milk tea) for dessert— it was pleasant and not too sweet. I walked in around 9 pm and was surprised that the place was almost full with customers, and it was quite loud in there as well. The staff were all very friendly and attentive.
