New Chom Chom Buffet - (Near Kent, South East)

4 /5 Adam Cohen: Small buffet, regularly topped up with a tepanyaki counter. Not amazing but still tasty and cheap. No issues with quality of food, all piping hot.

5 /5 Shareen: I was quietly reserved after reading other reviews BUT we all loved it! Fresh food a plenty. Lots of tasty choices full of flavour. Noodles cooked wonderfully to order... ingredients picked by ME. No rush, friendly, attentive staff. Our party of 8 left full and happy. One was a vegetarian and she ate very well.

1 /5 Julie Coleman: I have just left after having lunch at Chom Chom in Canterbury ( a place I have frequented for years often being served by the same staff as it was today so this is with great disappointment that I give this review) and was firstly shocked by how cold the food was and how tough the chicken in the curries were. The only nice thing was the sweet and sour chicken and naan Being disappointed at this time I was even more so when I received the bill! I was being charged £10.95 for a 3 year old after he had sat and ate his packed lunch I had made. At no time did he have his own plate of food. He had a small dollop of ice cream and they charged me £10.95 for it as to them he had a plate. I asked for my money back for him which took some convincing by the manager which was appalling especially as it was raised that the 1 year old had taken a small amount of pitta from my plate. ( she also had pack lunch). We even had to produce their pack lunch boxes which the waitress saw them eat from. Then looking further I was charged senior citizen rates when I’m 10 years of being that! I know you can save £2 by being a senior citizen but for me it was an appalling assumption by the waitress who just judged how old she thought I was . It’s apparently clear that my grandson and I were judged on monetary rather than people. I have learned that Monday is Senior Citizen day so if you dare to enter and have grey hair you will automatically be judged as a senior citizen! I will never ever go there again or recommend as who knows how many others who are judged by age!

5 /5 Conner Oreally: I’ve never been a big Chinese/Indian cuisine/food type of person, mainly because the food has never been for my taste or I’ve just had extremely low quality food, never did like it, haven’t for years. Got dragged by my family to come here and was instantly impressed by the Chinese cuisine available, turning me around on the food. The servers were so kind, very helpful. The food was amazing, especially when they restocked the wings right in front of me, it was hot, hot but so delicious. I certainly recommend the wings and lamb curry. The ice cream machine whilst needing to be activated with a spoon (a server helped me, thank you) was amazing, I thought it’d be sloppy and wet but it was firm and creamy. Whilst the location is a bit sketchy, mainly due to the types of people who hang around there, the inside has such a vibe to it, it feels so homey. Cannot recommend this place enough, servers were amazing, the food is hot and delicious.

5 /5 bev forrester: It was quite busy on Saturday when we went. Plenty of food though and no long waits. We started off with crispy duck pancakes.yummy. Then went on to mixed seafood with noodles. I also tried the lamb curry, it was absolutely divine . After a breather I had some vanilla ice cream. Really enjoyed myself. There were 16 of us altogether , with no complaints from anyone. Well worth the money charged and the staff all mucked in and helped where ever they were needed.
