The Union Inn - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Kate Avery: We popped in today for lunch. Two adults, a baby and two dogs. The staff were welcoming, polite and very accommodating. The fire was on. Which was a very nice addition on a chilly day. For lunch we had the seafood chowder with a side of seasoned fries and Cajun chicken burger. My husband didn’t share his burger but the seafood chowder was absolutely delicious! Great portion sizes. Well seasoned with lots of fish and mussels. After an interesting crossing from the mainland this was a very welcome stop. So pleased we popped in and I would urge everyone to do the same! Very lovely experience. Unfortunately we didn’t need a room but if we ever need one this will be my first place to contact.

5 /5 Ali Graham: Great breakfast. We popped in for a Friday fry up. Excellent value. £5 for a full English. We went large for £2 extra. The vegetarian option was just as good. Charis was polite and efficient and had a lovely personality that made our visit even better. Definitely will be returning.

5 /5 Patricia Dennes: Stayed Saturday 20/9/25 Easy check in. Beautiful clean room. Everything you needed. Lovely staff and owner Matt made us feel welcome. Excellent breakfast. Booked again for NYE. Done a lot of breaks and this was one of the best. Thanks

5 /5 Sarah Valentine: Oh my god! This place is a gem!!! Great people, great food, comfy beds. Breakfast was included and it was fab! If in Room 5 bring eye patches as the lights outside are bright but a good set of ear plugs and some eye patches and you are set. Thanks union for a great stay.

1 /5 Zyrix Himself: If I could give no stars I would. Waited nearly 1hr for food. Two bowls of soup and a sandwich came out first.The soup was cold, followed by the Sea Bass which was also cold. The vegetables I dont think were even heated. When we sent it all back we could hear the chef in the kitchen throwing stuff about. The bar lady was very apologetic. They forgot one meal and said we hadnt paid for it. I showed the receipt, it appeared we had. Then the original three meals came back out followed by a steak pie. About 10mins later the missing baguette appeared so hot I could bearly pick it up. We were offered free drinks but wanted to leave. This is my first ever bad review. Nice pub but I wouldnt eat there.
