4 /5 Paula F: We went for dinner after a show at the theatre, as it is very close to the Royal Albert Hall. The restaurant is gorgeous and very cosy, and I loved the candlelight touch. The staff were very attentive and nice, the service was good, though not perfect, as we noticed some minor mistakes that are not worth mentioning since they did not really bother us.
The food was very good. The arancini was amazing and I loved the truffle pasta, however, it was quite short on truffle and did not justify the price. My partner ordered the meatballs, which do not come with sides and were quite basic, so I consider them overpriced if you want to order potatoes on the side. The tiramisu was ok but looks better than it tastes, they used some cheap‑tasting instant cocoa on top that slightly killed the flavour, disappointing. They also made a show of preparing the tiramisu “in front of you”, but they were actually about two tables away from us and we could not see how it was made, so they might as well have prepared it in the kitchen and brought it straight to the table. The tableware was lovely, loved the plates.
I will come back, as we enjoyed the dinner overall, but there are a few things that could be improved.
