5 /5 Marc Bye: Really excellent meal. Excellent service. Cozy and romantic atmosphere. Fantastic all around.
Bread was a simple selection of three different types but done really nicely and served with a balsamic and olive oil.
Meat was cooked perfectly, pigeon, venison and steak all perfectly cooked and the pigeon in particular was surprisingly good in a sweet port jus with blueberries. Otherwise good meat cooked rare was as superb as always. The bernaise sauce with the steak was extremely salty and lost its flavour, but the mustard selection was excellent and paired with the meat well.
We were offered some wine tasting to help us decide what wine to have with our meal because we had different tastes and the waitress was able to find a wine we both enjoyed with our meal. Service was quick when we wanted it but unobtrusive and didnt interrupt during the meal.
We used the OpenTable 50% discount, and that gave us a much greater value for money but even at full price this would have been a worthwhile meal.
Really excellent restaurant, we will be back!
