The Travel Hacking Life This was my first time visiting Damal. The interior was quite basic, but once we sat down it became clear that the focus was on the food rather than the setting.
The service was good. The person serving us took time to guide us through the meal and brought out a variety of dishes for us to try, which made the experience feel relaxed and unhurried. We started with chai tea while everything was being prepared.
The main dish was a shared platter of rice served with lamb, placed in the centre of the table. Alongside it, we were given several types of flatbread on one plate, which were used to eat the meal together. There was a lot of food overall, enough that we ended up taking some home afterwards.
The sauces added a lot to the meal, especially the spicier ones, which had a strong kick without being overwhelming. They were good enough that I asked to take some with me.
Overall, we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was very relaxed and casual, I would definitely come back again
