The Real Greek - Spitalfields - Tower Hamlets

Rating: 4.3 /5
Travel. Eat. Live. More. We went to The Real Greek in Spitalfields for lunch this afternoon. The Real Greek is located near Flying Tiger Copenhagen inside Old Spitalfields Market. The Real Greek has one of the best weekday lunchtime deals in London. I was really impressed with the value for money. For the Souvlaki Grill, there is a choice of one grill and it includes Chips(or Rice), Tzatziki, Greek Salad and a flatbread for £13.50 per person . Alternatively there is an option of the Souvlaki Wrap with one side for £13.50 per person. These lunch menus are served between Monday and Friday between 12pm to 5pm. The service was great, our server Nadir was very friendly. The food was amazing. The portions were generous, the food was beautifully presented and there was freshness in every bite! The chicken was delicious, the chicken was perfectly cooked and had a lovely flavour. The Greek Salad(I ordered it without tomatoes)was delicious. All the vegetables were really tasty and fresh. The feta was really delicious and fresh. I liked the salad dressing too. The Tzatziki was fresh and delicious too. I liked the texture of the Tzatziki. The gluten free flatbread was delicious too and had a great texture. The rice was delicious too and I liked the texture of the rice too. There are loads of gluten free options marked on the menu. The decor in here is fantastic. My only point for improvement is that the atmosphere could be improved. The atmosphere felt a little bit flat. Music at a louder volume would really enhance the atmosphere. I would also like to see the Chickpea Salad return on the menu as that was one of my favourite dishes at The Real Greek. This is an excellent restaurant to visit in London and it is a great place to go for high quality food without breaking the bank. I hope to visit The Real Greek for lunch again in the very near future.

Mastas Korean Street Food -

Rating: 3.5 /5
SWLS100 I remember trying Korean food once before in London and not understanding its uniqueness from other Asian choices I love, but Masta’s have broken down all my mis-understandings, and I’m now fully on board. I had a lovely lunch here last Friday, selecting the Korean Braised Beef Brisket Bibimbap, which is delicious, a great balance of sweet, spice, beef and veg, with a fried egg on top, which presents very well and tastes great. I highly recommend and will return very soon. Thank you.

Columbia Restaurant -

Rating: 3.9 /5
Bianca W I got to attend the Columbia restaurants pirate themed afternoon tea with a large group of friends yesterday, and it was fantastic. Service is great with friendly staff and prompt service. Sandwich selection as part of the afternoon tea was a bit of an elevated standard, with the typical smoked salmon on cream cheese, tomato and cheese, cucumber this time paired with chicken, and a sausage and piccadilly relish. The scones were fresh and absolutely delicious, super buttery and creamy, very delightful. Finally there was a very thorough cake selection presented, as well as smoothies and parfaits. The group unanimously decided the banana bread was the absolute winner, soft and rich and very well balanced. We had so many options to try and most of them were really fresh and scrumptious. I found a few cakes a little too on the sweet side, and the mocha I ordered was also way too sweet to drink for ky taste. Overall, a brilliant afternoon tea with so many items, lovingly presented in little pirate treasure chests. I enjoyed it a lot and would definitely recommend it.
