5 /5 Simon Bradford: I’ve been looking locally for an Indian buffet on a Sunday. I found one closer to Thame but their food hygiene rating was poor so didn’t go. Came across Bipul’s through word of mouth and saw if has an excellent food hygiene review as well as good Google reviews. Was going to come a while ago on that basis but ran out of time. Had a window open up so decided to try it out. Also noticed you can now book online, so all good. I’d booked for 1pm, came a bit earlier so I could see the Christmas tractors going through Chinnor. There were 3 other diners, just being served poppadoms, with 2 front out house. An older guy and a younger lad. Buffet was laid out, younger guy said just waiting for some starters to come out. Ordered some poppadoms, a jug of water and read my paper. Eventually, bugger was ready and helped myself. Good food, reasonable choice, hot, spicy but not too much. Reasonable price £14.90 plus poppadoms. All you can eat Sunday lunch buffet. Noted that the older guy was a bit curt. Mentioned this to the younger guy who said it had been a tough week. My sympathies. Maybe he could do with some time off to get his chill back. Being grumpy with customers and being front of house is not a good mix. Service from the younger guy was amazing. Will revisit.
