5 /5 Stuart Applebby: Visited here one Saturday evening. They were busy which is a good sign. The staff found me a table, were attentive, they checked whether I wanted my main spicy or not. The curry arrived swiftly and was good, just about hot enough for me. Then I had some homemade coconut ice cream. The decor was nicely designed, the toilets were light and pleasant, the food was good, the staff were respectful, happy to recommend.

5 /5 Jenson Boswell: Chennai Express in Fleet is an unforgettable restaurant, which has outstanding service, mouth-watering South Indian cuisine and excellent value. The staff are happy, efficient and attentive because they frequently checked on our table. The food is of a high standard and there is plenty of it. The light, fluffy naans are glazed with garlic butter and garnished with coriander. The generous portion of butter chicken filled with flavour is the best I’ve ever tried; it is presented in a gold round dish. Not only is the food outstanding but it is affordable. 4 /5 Sweety Tugnawat: Chennai Express in Fleet is an excellent restaurant that combines attentive service, authentic South Indian cuisine, and very good value. The staff are courteous and efficient, making the overall dining experience enjoyable. The food is of a consistently high standard. The dosas are especially noteworthy—crisp, light, and full of flavour—while the thali offers a generous variety of dishes that are both tasty and affordable. One point that could be improved relates to bar service. Although the restaurant maintains generally high levels of hygiene, I noticed glasses being handled directly by the bartender, and one of mine had visible marks. It would be reassuring to see greater care taken in this area. Overall, Chennai Express is a strong addition to Fleet’s dining options and well worth a visit for those seeking authentic South Indian food at reasonable prices.

5 /5 Hannah Miles: Incredible, authentic food, cooked fresh with brilliant service. Chennai Express is unbeatable in terms of flavour and is our go to favourite for takeaway and dining. My husband and I have been having a date lunch at Chennai since I’ve been on maternity leave & always have the Thalli. It’s incredible value for money, with 8 small dishes, pudding rice, a chapatti and poppadom and it’s different every week. Would highly recommend as something a little different for lunch!

5 /5 R C: What a lovely festive celebration the staff and owners of Chennai Express put up today celebrating the beautiful Holi festival. The celebration had colour, tastiest food, street food from their mobile van, and delicious curries and deserts served inside a classy and tastefully decorated community hall. There was traditional classical dancers, music, a festive mood, food & drink. All at a very reasonable price. Thank you Chennai Express for sharing our culture so graciously. The restaurant doesnt fail to deliver, and your events too keep that through. Keep going.
