5 /5 Cory Sakai: From a foreign tourist perspective this was a fantastic experience and we were so happy to be able to get our wish of trying a Sunday Roast even though it was a Saturday. The location is cozy and comfortable, with a fitting rustic feel, especially in the bar area. The service was great being friendly, helpful, and prompt. Everybody from the hostess to the manager was welcoming. The food was delicious and we enjoyed our small plates which were plenty for us. It was nice that you could choose which meats you wanted and they carved the portions proportionally for whether you chose one to five meats. The carver was patient and explained the meats to us as well. There were lots of vegetables available for self serve along with the gravy and sauces. All of this for a good value price. Remember to make a reservation because it can get busy, especially on the weekends. Not far from Hilsea train station and about a 10 min walk. Also sign up ahead of time to find out about special discounts. We would go back here for sure!
