V I celebrated my birthday at The Ivy Soho Brasserie in their private dining space, the Blake Room, and it was honestly such a beautiful and memorable experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted so warmly, and there’s a lovely atmosphere throughout the restaurant. It was busy, but in the best way — a great buzz, vibrant energy, and a really welcoming feel that immediately set the tone for the evening. Pauline, my event manager, helped me plan my birthday in the private dining room and was fantastic throughout the entire planning and booking process. She made everything feel seamless and easy, and although planning a big birthday is naturally a bit stressful, she was incredibly reassuring every step of the way. I had quite a few guests with different requests and dietary requirements, and she was so accommodating and supportive, which really put me at ease. She truly delivered — the day came together perfectly. On the night itself, Carlo and Josh, the manager and waiter, were amazing. The service was warm, professional, and they genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable, happy with their food, and well looked after. Drinks were served promptly, and so many of my guests commented on how attentive and kind the service was. The food was absolutely delicious — beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and very satisfying. A big thank you as well to the kitchen team for being so attentive and happy to assist with any adjustments on the day. Everything ran so smoothly. The room looked stunning, well decorated, the service was outstanding, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. This birthday meant a lot to me, and the entire team made it truly unforgettable. A massive thank you to Pauline, Carlo, Josh, and the whole Ivy Soho team. I couldn’t recommend The Ivy Soho Brasserie more.

Neville Cox A really great little restaurant. No over ambitious menu, but what is served is excellent. The Tigelle are little circular flat breads, lovely and soft inside but crispy on the outside. We had starters of the Tigelles with mushrooms and separately with tomatoes and oil, a take on brushetta. For mains we had steak and chips (generous and prepared well), spinach and ricotta tortellini and a platter of cheeses, including whole burratta, with rocket, plumbs and cherry tomatoes, with a basket if tigelle. Wine was very good and the staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. Had a great night as a family in this lovely little restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Chi Man Chan Skehans is a famous Irish pub. It topped Time Outs 2023 "Best Pubs in London" list, being voted "Londons No. 1 Bar." Their Guinness is guaranteed to be authentic and flawless. But Ive quit drinking. This pub is part of a joint venture with the Thai restaurant next door, so you can enjoy authentic, home-style Thai cuisine right there. The fried noodles were delicious, and the steak was even better than I expected—high-quality meat, though the tom yum gong was a bit too salty. Its very lively and down-to-earth. I love the lively yet relaxed atmosphere; you can just chat with anyone you meet.

Nitin Agarwal Had lunch this afternoon at Nando’s Wembley Park and it was a really enjoyable experience. The restaurant was lively but well organised, with plenty of space and a relaxed atmosphere despite being in such a busy area. My food arrived promptly and was cooked perfectly, juicy chicken, full of flavour, and just the right level of spice. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, exactly what you expect from a good Nando’s. The sides were generous and complemented the meal nicely. Staff were friendly, efficient, and kept things moving smoothly even during the lunch rush. Overall, a great spot for a casual lunch, whether you’re shopping nearby or visiting Wembley. Consistent quality, good service, and a place I’d happily return to again.

Lucy Patey Came to the Balmoral on the evening of the 19th January for my birthday with my Mum & Daughter. Within a couple of minutes of arriving I was given a lovely gin selection box & card for my birthday. A really lovely touch I wasn’t expecting. Our waitresses were Charlotte & Rhianna. They both provided impeccable service with nothing being too much trouble. My daughter has a nut allergy and Charlotte promptly cleared her napkin & cutlery giving her new, hand washed cutlery as per the allergy contamination rules. A fab touch I’ve not seen anywhere else. We all enjoyed our meals which were yummy. Charlotte & Rhianna then sung me happy birthday while bringing the puddings. A really lovely evening made perfect by such fabulous service! Please ensure both ladies receive the recognition they deserve! :)
