The Black Horse -
Peter Dangerfield We loved the Black Horse. It is an historic building in a charming quiet village nestling in the South Downs. The public areas are welcoming and interesting with open log fires and comfortable seating. The food is imaginative but also has pub classics. Excellent beer, cider and wine with a good selecton by the glass as well as bottle.
Our room was neat and tidy with a huge bed.
The staff were unfailingly friendly and efficient.
Highly recommended.
