5 /5 Mildred Voon: Excellent food in this quaint village pub. The leek with cream was fantastic, so was the fish and chips. Good sausage roll and scotch eggs too. Dog friendly place with nostalgic decor.

5 /5 Angelis Botticelli: This pub never disappoints, busy and buzzy. The landlord and bar staff are friendly and helpful with clear pride in their food and with good reason. A range of delicious options from crispy pork and apple sauce nibbles, delicious scotch egg through to the best steak and ale pie ever. If fish is more your taste, fresh citrus salmon or mussels will delight. A fabulous place in a pretty village - what more could you ask for!

5 /5 Gastronomía Europa: What a Wonderful village pub , we had a wonderful Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere in the public bar was buzzing full of locals and visitors alike we then moved to the adjoining dining room for lunch . Calamari was perfectly seasoned and sweet and tender serving on a flat plate rather small bowl would have given a crunchier texture. Roast sirloin of beef was tender and perfectly pink and belly of pork was melding succulent with a perfect cracking crust , generous with hispi cabbage roast carrots and a giant Yorkshire made one smile , more gravy and a dish of coli cheese from the sides made for the perfect roast , ( a steak knife would have been welcome , cutlery was a little worn ) . We had said we didn’t have room for pudding but when we had noticed home made ice creams on the menu we could not resist and Affogato and delicious pistachio ices soon followed perfectly presented and garnished . The service from the greeting and welcome from the moment we arrived till when we left was immaculate, relaxed confident and attentive at all times . We left with ( V.P.E ) village pub envy and cannot wait to return.

5 /5 Martine: We went to this pub a few times for lunch - This saturday we returned and the food did not disappoint us. It was all fresh, homemade, the pie, the deserts were delicious, so much so that I could have had more of them - the gnocchis although delicious were a bit too heavy. We will definitely return.
