5 /5 Andy Howard: When you walk in and you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming smile from one of the owners (Claire) who seats you in a perfect spot right next to the kitchen where the co owner & Italian Chef (Val) slaves away making every meal to order using only the freshest ingredients you know you’ve found ‘your place’. Unable to choose what to eat we ask Val to keep us fed and watered and between the two we weren’t let down. We told Claire what our wine tastes were and she brought the most Devine wine! Val then made us a starter, a main and a main, and a main… AND a desert!! Wow wow wow!! (Have the crab pasta!!) Our first night at Alberto’s made us feel welcomed, wanted and part of the team! Did you know Val is also a jeweller?! Does this man’s skills have any boundries?! If only we’d come earlier we could have visited their veg shop just up the street “Plant’d” we will be back!! K&A

5 /5 Lois Day: What soul this beautiful little Italian restaurant has! Independently owned, you can feel the love and warmth put into this place just stepping through the door. The food, atmosphere and service unmatched to that of any other we have visited while in the Cotswolds. We had a wonderful meal, the pizza’s are show stopping! Claire was our host and made sure we were comfortable at every opportunity. Being a customer with dietary requirements was no issue when ordering. Val the chef was more than happy to accommodate a dairy free and vegan friendly meal. Their chosen vegan cheese was one of the best I have ever tried and Claire kindly offered to order in extra for us to take home! Will be back again! Do not miss this gem!

5 /5 Matthew: The food is where Albertos shines, couldnt fault it. Ill be honest and say Id happily sit on a pavement edge and have people shout at me to come get my food if it tasted as good as this. Its a small restaurant run by a couple. Some of the reviews about the restaurant are absurd. Im not sure quite why people expect front of house to be fawning all over them - as far as Im concerned Im happy if they bring the food in good time. I dont expect a conversation. If it happens, thats fine. Front of house was elegantly "invisible" and yet attentive at exactly the right time. What more could you ask? The restaurant is small. When I was there with my wife and friends it was busy, yet the service was fast and efficient. If you dont want to be squished into one of the smaller tables or the "bar" area, just book in advance.

5 /5 Alison Curtis: The perfect spot for delicious authentic Italian food! Claire hosted the perfect group gathering, welcoming us all with open arms. We had the perfect table in the window of their quaint restaurant located in the heart of the town, and were surrounded by an array of Italian produce available to buy and enjoy at home. Every item we ordered from the menu was prepared by Val to perfection. Portions are generous, but not too much, so you absolutely have room to order one of their fabulous desserts! All in all, a wholesome experience and a wonderful meal. Thank you both - You’ll be seeing me again soon!
