5 /5 Agnieszka Donanska: Great little café with delicious food and fantastic service. The sandwiches are amazing and the arancini taste just like in Italy. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. I can’t wait to come back again!
5 /5 Marcus Stuart: Great little cafe / restaurant. Staff were really friendly and the food delicious. Ran by a couple of local guys and you can tell that there is a high focus on local quality food and a warm atmosphere. Not been for breakfast but probably my favourite lunch time spot in Whitstable.
5 /5 Dave George: 5* for a reason. Serious eats! Great coffee, nice people. Free parking… what’s not to like? Bacon & Scallop sandwich is epic… Breakfast deal great value for sandwich, coffee and juice.
5 /5 Antony Ratnasingham: Excellent place to eat. Reviews are so true. Worth its perfect 5*.
Lovely owners who want to please.
Best breakfast we had in Kent, that we came back for lunch. Great with the kids. Wish them luck! Definitely try the banana bread, and the supreme croissant!
Please support them. It’s a great example of a great upcoming new foodie deli/restaurant, and we would love to come back when we are back this way.
5 /5 Corinna Miller: Worth the hype. These guys are doing it right. Everything at Juniors sounded amazing, and we didnt go wrong with any of our choices. The only problem is deciding when to go next, and if we go with our fantastic choices or try something new.
The lasagna roll was delicious but not too big or heavy. The salami and burata was mouth watering. Would have loved to get a picture of my husbands steak sandwich but he devoured it too quickly.
Do yourself a favor and get down there. You wont regret it.
David Great fish and chips. Made to order and reasonably priced. The chaps serving the food gave me extra chips whilst I waited too which was nice of them.
Jenny B This is a creative, welcoming restaurant with a talented chef.
I visited Whitstable with two good friends and visiting 39 (or Laurens as I prefer to call it) was one of our highlights. Whitstable is already a place worth celebrating for its pretty scenery, clear blue sea and independent shops, and this place was a hidden gem - though not so hidden as we found it through good Google reviews! We were very kindly welcomed by Fairlie and Roy and enjoyed the cocktails, with Head Chef Laurens Lemon Drop being the winner! The food was a delicious fusion of flavours! We found that five of the small plates shared by three of us was filling enough that we didnt ask for a desert. I would recommend giving 39/Laurens a try for its food, creative gallery feel and friendly ambience and if Roy is there he will happily tell you about the local area so do ask him!
Dan C We collected a take out on Christmas Eve and really glad we did. The food was ready promptly. The staff were really friendly, the restaurant had a lovely buzz. The food was excellent. We shared a mixed kebab starter, and had 2 beautiful curries with rice and naan. Couldnt fault a thing. The king prawns in the jalfrezi were delicious and the naga lamb had a great kick to it. Looking forward to our next one already!
Daniel Peters WOWSA.... what a place. I have been wanted to go here for ages, and finally managed to arrange it, and WHY have I not been here before! The food is just stunning, so so yummy. There was 4 of us, and we ordered 10 dishes, which was just perfect, and every bit of the plate was eaten and thoroughly enjoyed. Service was amazing, such lovely ladies. We will be now regulars to this place, it was a real MUST VISIT!
Ctn Pkt I had the time to go on Saturday. I ordered XXL-size oysters. They were very delicious, fresh, and clean. I ordered takeaway cause I wanna walk around the market but it turned out that after trying one, I ate it all without knowing it. Haha.
The restaurants atmosphere is good, and the surroundings are lively. Most of the people come as family. There is also alcohol and other foods inside.
Syd Eats Consistently outstanding battered fish. Perfectly cooked, fresh produce and light crunchy batter - every single time. Its a lovely family run restaurant you can always rely on. Choose from large, medium or small cod all priced accordingly. FYI the batter is NOT dairy-free. The chips are very English - more like chunky deep fried potato bits than the sort you get in a restaurant (do not expect the more fries style thick, tripple cooked, processed and way crispy sort). The prices are very reasonable. Sorry I didnt take a pic of the food but it was so good I forgot about photos and just ate it!
