Old Pop Inn Cafe - (Near Surrey, South East)

Suzanne Green We have just had a fabulous couple of nights at this wonderful hotel. The rooms are not too luxurious. The furniture and pictures on the wall are outdated and there are places where carpets are worn and walls need repainting. However the beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are extremely clean. What makes this hotel so special (other than its age and location) is the people working in it. It is a Greene King chain but it feels like a family run hotel. Every person we met was charming, helpful and it made the whole stay so pleasurable. The other thing that was incredible was the quality of food. We rarely eat in the same place for two nights in a row but the first night was so good, we had to go back to experience some more of the chefs food. The second night was as fabulous as the first. The breakfast was outstanding too with an excellent cooked breakfast, delicious pastries and range of fresh fruit, cereals and teas. We are talking about taking our grown up children back there again soon as we were so impressed.

W E (T) First of all I would like to thank Jacob for being a brilliant server on our day trip in. Myself and my partner came for a lovely lunch on the lunchtime set menu for our anniversary recently. The service of Jacob on this day was incredible. Making sure that everything was good and bought amazing service and had a lovely light conversation as well. He was sweet enough to bring us lovely little desserts to celebrate are anniversary. The lunch time menu was a lovely option for us who still want to enjoy our time at a fancy restaurant even on a budget. The atmosphere was lovely and the music was not too loud and a great selection of songs.

Larisa Wallis I had my birthday dinner at the Holiday Inn Meadow restaurant in Worth, Gatwick. The place looks stunning, contemporarily refurbished and busy for Tuesday evening which was reassuring. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco and olives & pizette as a starter followed by three steaks as a birthday treat - lamb ramp, ribeye and fillet. All came out looking perfect and tasted superb. The meal was accompanied by a great customer service of the team - George, Sarah, Charlotte and Yasmin - who have made a great effort in serving us and even brought me a birthday brownie surprise with a “happy birthday” song! That was a lovely touch! Thank you all for your outstanding service and friendly welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to others for dinners / special occasions.

j An easy five stars. Decent food, excellent value, efficient service, friendly people. Theres a big old menu to choose from with all sorts of options, but the thing I like best about the Comodor is that if you get a jacket potato you get to choose two fillings - or more for a supplement (theres a similar arrangement for toasties and paninis). And theres a lot of great stuff to choose from. Smoked salmon and avocado jacket potato? Yes please! It was as good as it sounds.

Paul Ceccherini Went for a birthday meal with parents and in-laws and had a wonderful time. Service didnt feel mechanical, it was personal, the staff were well organised and manager was visibily conducting the teams. First time in a long time i wanted to leave a review as one is worthy to recognise the excellent time we had there. Food was good, delivered in a timely manner and with a conversation, not a dump and run you get in so many places. Only issue we had being on a table near the door was the cold breeze when other guests left the door open, maybe a spring mechanism could be fitted or use the inner door? Anyway a lovely time had and very happy to recommend.

Paul Devivo Unplanned visit... But a pleasant surprise. The food was really good here, and not expensive. The staff was friendly and pleasant, what more could you want! A great evening.
