Layla This place is something else. I have lived near this place for 15 years and not known it was there. I now consider this 15 years of lost Countryman pizza experiences. The owners were so friendly. The food was delicious. The restaurant was quaint and its a BYO. What more do you need!? We will be returning!

We also had the lemon chicken, which was very nice. It had a cozy atmosphere. Exactly the vibe we were looking for that evening. Will definitely come back!

Peter I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The interior is vibrant and inviting, featuring a variety of colorful hanging lights and a striking painting of a woman displayed on the wall. The space is enriched with mosaics and decorative elements that create a warm, familiar atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and consistently smiling, which added to the overall positive experience. The food was very flavorful and visually appealing, matching the lively character of the restaurant. Prices were also very reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality provided.

Dean Wilkinson Proper old school chippy done right. The fish is fresh with a light, crispy batter, the chips are fluffy inside, and portions are more than fair. Service is quick and friendly, and it’s one of those places that still feels like a reliable local favourite. Solid comfort food that hits the spot every time.

LiziiBear Superb little spot, fantastic selection of brews, the pizzas are really yum and the staff are super friendly. What more could you need?! Always stop in for a pint or three after record shopping on Queens Road when visiting Hastings.

From the moment we arrived, the service from every member of staff was exceptional — attentive, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about making the experience special. Nothing felt rushed, and every interaction added to the enjoyment of the meal. The food choice is excellent, with a thoughtfully curated menu that offers something for everyone without being overwhelming. Each dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. What truly stood out was how fairly priced everything was, especially considering the quality of both the food and the service. And then there was the pistachio soufflé — quite simply unforgettable. It arrived looking like a delicate cloud, light and elegant, and tasted absolutely divine. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and melting in the mouth, it was the kind of dessert you keep thinking about long after you’ve left. Hare delivers on every level: service, quality, value, and those magical finishing touches that turn a meal into a memorable experience. Highly recommended.
