Suman Deep I love their Karak Chaii and I recently started getting their whippy which is really lovely. They are doing 50% off the whippy which I find really nice it shows how caring the boss is of his customers as he knows we love this ice cream!!!

Adam D I cannot comment on the food as I did not eat here, however, I found this pub to be a lovely quiet place, perfect for thinking time if you need a quiet space. The staff were very friendly, and welcoming. I probably shouldnt be saying this but the barmaid was hot! I certainly will be visiting again soon, and maybe try the food! (I already ate before attending)

Analea Calder The owner/chef is super nice and gives generous portions at a great price! He took the time to learn about me and my family and made us feel very welcomed there, which made the atmosphere very pleasant and enjoyable. Not to mention the food is so delicious and flavorful. The meat is juicy and everything was seasoned to perfection. My family and I were on vacation in London and we came back there every night of our stay!

Mo Mo Super friendly team with huge portions and delicious food. We were welcomed in and given a lovely table and offered thai crackers to start. We opted for chicken satay which was juicy and delicious. Then recommended to have the chicken pad Thai and we chose the beef Nasi goreng which was the standout dish! I asked for prawns to be added to my pad Thai which they did. Really lovely waitress and the owner was lovely. Restaurant was very clean as were the toilets. Great local place with super service and tasty food.

Carl Jeffrey The rural riverside setting is perfect for anyone who loves countryside walks or fancies hiring a rowing boat to explore the river. I was hiking solo on a multi-day trek from Brighton to Rochester when I came across the Anchor Inn. It was a warm early evening, and as I ordered a refreshing pint in the front bar, the landlord Simon (who had never met me before) immediately noticed my rucksack and said: “If you’re looking for somewhere to pitch your tent tonight, you’re very welcome to use the field behind the pub.” It was such a generous offer that I gladly accepted. I spent the evening enjoying a few pints in the company of Simon and his staff, who made me feel completely at home. I didn’t eat during my stay, though the food looked excellent, but I can vouch for a superb pint of Harvey’s Best Bitter. The following morning, as I was packing up at 8am, Simon even walked over with a cup of tea – an incredibly thoughtful gesture that summed up the hospitality I experienced here. I truly can’t thank Simon and his team enough. The Anchor Inn is a brilliant riverside pub, and I’ll definitely be returning with friends. Highly recommended!

Noah Darsley Went here for a lunch on my ride around the Isle of Wight the burger was absolutely incredible it was the southern fried chicken cooked to perfection. The guy at the bar was funny and friendly , the bathroom was spotless and on the small size.
