5 /5 JC: Friend recommended this place when we spoke about the best fish & chips to try in Whitstable. Glad to say I wasn’t disappointed at all. Great portion and amazingly fresh taste. The batter was light and chips were cooked perfectly. Seemed like it was a local spot since a lot of people came in after us and you could hear a lot of friendly chatter with the owner.

5 /5 Japninder Singh: We visited Ossies Best Fish and Chips and had a fantastic experience. We ordered cod and haddock with chips, along with curry sauce and tartar sauce. Both types of fish were excellent – the cod was fresh and flaky, while the haddock had a lovely rich flavour, all coated in perfectly crisp batter. The chips were golden and delicious, and the sauces really complemented the meal. The portions were generous and great value for money. The location makes it even better, as it’s right by the beach – the perfect setting to enjoy classic fish and chips by the sea. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, even during busy times. We’d definitely recommend Ossies to anyone visiting Whitstable – it truly lives up to its name!

4 /5 allan colic: Cute fish and chips shop with a great reputation. I had the haddock with chips and mushy peas. Everything tasted fresh and the tartar sauce was homemade. The fish was tender and THICK which is what sets apart a good chippy shop in my experience. Chips were a bit of a let down as the were not as crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside as the Ossies in the city center.

5 /5 Il y a D: One of the best fish and chips ever. Available both for eating it and for the takeaway. The place is very close to the Tankerton beach, and it is quite distant from the Whitstable center though. However the walk to this place will be worth the effort

5 /5 Joseph G: We went just after midday today and although the shop was busy, our order was taken quickly and food served with not too long a wait. 2 lots of cod and chips and the Cod was huge! Nice and crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, perfect! Kids cod bites and chips were also great, generous portion size and good value for money. Good service all round and would definitely recommend. Only bad point is the price of canned drinks being a bit steep.

Daniel Peters WOWSA.... what a place. I have been wanted to go here for ages, and finally managed to arrange it, and WHY have I not been here before! The food is just stunning, so so yummy. There was 4 of us, and we ordered 10 dishes, which was just perfect, and every bit of the plate was eaten and thoroughly enjoyed. Service was amazing, such lovely ladies. We will be now regulars to this place, it was a real MUST VISIT!

Abigail Bowens Got takeaway pizza and garlic bread to eat in 12 taps (a few doors down) and it was fantastic! The tango pizza with goats cheese and sun-dried tomatoes was delicious, with quick and super friendly service. Sad we don’t live here to come more often!
