The River Café - (Near Hammersmith and Fulham, london)

Anand Roy Having been coming to the Alliance for years, usually only for drinks, we finally decided to try the food there. We got the Black Pudding Scotch egg to start. This hands down was the best scotch egg I have ever eaten - we had to give compliments to the chef. The perfectly fried coating of pork and black pudding, the wonderfully creamy runny egg yolk was divine. This is a must have and despite the high price - £9.50, I wouldnt hesitate to get it again. I had the beer battered Fish and Chips, whilst my partner had the chicken leek and mushroom pie. Both of which fresh and clearly hand made with high quality ingredients. The food is definitely worth a try - alongside other of their excellent wines. I am annoyed that I didnt try the food before.

H C What a great little find this was. It was recommended by another little cafe, one of our new favourites, who sadly weren’t open. We got the days muddled up over the Christmas holidays. This is situated just behind the River Thames in Hammersmith and behind Riverside Studios. It also has a sister deli opposite. We almost went there and then we found this. Such a lovely cafe. Went for breakfast, lovely staff. Great atmosphere and tasty food. The photos looks like the baps are greasy but it’s just the type of roll (bun had a shiney crispy top). Only observation was that the baps were a little small, would be great if they just increased the size of these Definitely recommend! We will be returning. Jules AC Beautiful location, the owner is really entertaining, its the real deal full of Italians who know how to cook and serve amazing coffee. The fresh produce they have is spot on. The food is delicious and tasty. I love the location and staff they are very friendly. I felt well taken care of and it was very enjoyable eating here. The deserts were really good and the coffee was so full flavoured. I really enjoyed myself. I highly recommend them. I hope you enjoy yourselves as well. Please click like if you enjoyed my review.

DAVE THE ITALIAN DAD Malaysian food is a bit spicy for me, but the wife loved that. My pad Thai was very very tasty. The less stars given for the atmosphere and service is because we were asked to wait, even if there were empty tables ( allegedly booked, but the people arrived AFTER we already finished and were going to pay). But as restaurant goes, very nice and suggested. The anchovies ruth peanuts entree... amazing

Pete B Our favorite local Italian restaurant. Fresh homemade pasta, great pizza, and extremely friendly service. Specials change every week, so always something new to try. Family owned and operated - can’t recommend enough!

Frank Food taste is ok, nothing special, not the worst either. Portions are absolutely tiny, not even suitable for a child. Very very stingy. You literally need to order 5 mains per person plus 3 starters per person to feel satisfied. You probably need to spend £130-150 per person in order to have a normal sized dinner. Not justifiable as the food is not fine dining. If you want fine dining go to Gymkhana (before the owner tells me I dont know proper food, I have had Gymkhana, which is more like fine dining). Service is reasonable though, the lady was attentive and friendly. Wouldnt go again as not fantastic taste and portions are suitable for a 1 year old baby rather than an adult. Shame as I was expecting more from a place that claims to be authentic. Ultimately didnt order more as the food was sub-par.
