1 /5 Nicholas Hawkins: Joes has always been a reliable place to eat with exceptionally good service, but this experience fell far short of their usual standards.

The service was extremely poor and indifferent. We were served by a young man who lacked any discernible charisma or personality. Despite the restaurant being very quiet, we waited an unacceptable 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive.

While the food arrived in good time, the quality was truly abysmal.
The sweet potato was watery and completely devoid of seasoning.
The duck leg was chewy and lacked any distinct flavour.
The fish and chips were merely acceptable—nothing special—and were served too dark, suggesting the oil may have been too hot or old.
This was a very disappointing evening, and I am unsure what has happened to the quality of both the food and service. I hope management addresses these issues promptly.
