4 /5 Ishan Issadeen: We visited for dinner on a Saturday. The ground floor was really busy but we were seated upstairs which was a bit quieter. It’s a fairly basic neighbourhood Chinese restaurant in terms of decor and vibe, but we did get a table with a lot of space which is always appreciated.
We were 2 adults and 2 kids who between us ordered the chicken spring rolls, salt & pepper squid, half roast duck, sweet & sour chicken, morning glory, egg fried rice, and Shanghai scallion noodles. It was a lot of food and we packed some to take home. Most items were quite enjoyable. The roast duck was a highlight. The sweet & sour is always a family favourite albeit this version was borderline too sweet. I really enjoyed the slurpy scallion noodles but my wife was not a fan of the texture.
Service was friendlier than expected and the food came out at a decent pace. The bill for our meal came to £149 of which £27 was spent on drinks, which felt quite reasonable. Overall a solid Chinese restaurant, not worth going out of your way for but a decent option for those who live locally. They do delivery as well.
