Evelyn Wong We went there as a group of 10 and ordered three sharing mains from the chef’s larder which were all perfectly cooked. The monkfish mains (we ordered two) were a little bit on the drier side but overall well cooked. The starters were all delicious and beautifully plated - especially the quail egg tarts and scallop pie. The service was excellent. My family and I had a wonderful time.

Your Next Food Trip The overall experience at restaurant 1890 was excellent, and I can now see why the restaurant was awarded 1 Michelin star. It’s almost hidden in a small section of the Savoy that’s luxurious in its own right. I had the lunch set at £90, which already includes 3 of the 5 dishes featured on the full tasting menu. Everything was excellent. It’s a great place to take a date.

A huge, heartfelt shout-out to Giuseppe, who looked after myself and my mum as we celebrated her birthday. His warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care turned a wonderful meal into something truly magical. He went above and beyond to make the occasion unforgettable, and it meant the world to us. This is hospitality at its absolute best — we’ll be talking about it for a long time to come and cannot wait to return - TOP TIER!

Reed Gyorkey Had a wonderful evening on Valentines Day with my girlfriend. The food was delicious and the service was attentive, very friendly and quick. Compliments to the Chef! Vinicius Santos A Well-Executed Pre-Theatre Experience at Cora Pearl The décor is relaxed and intimate, complemented by soft background music that creates a warm, understated atmosphere. Expectations were high, especially as Cora Pearl has been ranked by the Michelin Guide as the best pre-theatre dining spot in London. We visited as a family of four and arrived about ten minutes before our pre-theatre reservation; our table was already ready, which was a great start. My parents both chose the three-course pre-theatre menu: potatoes with cod roe to start, pork steak for the main, and the After Eight crémeux for dessert. I had the butternut squash with coconut cream as a starter—the cream was thicker than I expected, but still very rich and delicious—followed by the wild sea bass with Jerusalem artichoke velouté, salsify, and bergamot. Overall, the food was excellent: well executed, well balanced, and thoughtfully put together. We shared a bottle of Riesling and I ordered the Cheeky Peach cocktail, as the restaurant is known for its cocktails. Both were enjoyable, though not particularly memorable. The Parmesan fries, however, were outstanding and easily a highlight of the meal. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, although service did slow down a little during busier moments. That said, it didn’t detract significantly from an otherwise very enjoyable pre-theatre experience.

Ifra Khan Wildwoods never disappoints. The food is amazing, as always, but this visit was truly elevated by JP. From the moment I walked in, he was all smiles- warm, welcoming, and genuinely inviting. His lovely personality and natural hospitality made the entire experience feel effortless and memorable. JP is truly an asset to Wildwoods and the kind of server who turns a great meal into something special. Can’t wait to return. Note to management: please consider adding an option for gratuity. With service at this level, guests should have an easy way to show their appreciation.
