K V Very calm restaurant with delicious food. Came here for Sunday roast and ended up having the beef wellington which was delicious and perfectly cooked. The only negative thing I would say is timings were a little off - we waited ages to get the menu and then once we ordered they had barely poured the wine before the food arrived. But overall excellent experience, would definitely come back!

Graeme Moran Decent range of Indian food. We got 6 meals and did not wait too long to get them. It is a sports bar / pub so had 3 screens of sports but no sound, meaning we could still talk if we wanted.

Courtney Prettejohn Our experience at Lury was outstanding. The flavour combinations of every single dish was so well thought out, incredibly creative, and unlike anything weve tasted before. Out of the 10 x dishes on the tasting menu, there was not 1 that felt flat or uninteresting. Every single dish was standout. It was hard to pick our favourite dishes because they were all so memorable. The service was attentive and kind without being overbearing. The ambience is relaxed and romantic, but paired back in a simple way. We couldnt be happier to have a restaurant of this quality in Hastings and cant wait to visit again. And we must say, cardamom butter is an absolute revelation!!

Adarsh Rao We recently stopped by this place and ordered two medium doner kebabs, and we were genuinely impressed. Even though we ordered the medium size, the portion was really generous — more than enough to leave us full and happy. The meat was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right, while the salad and sauces added the perfect balance without overpowering the taste. You can tell everything is fresh and prepared with care. What really stood out beyond the food was the atmosphere. The place has a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to sit down and take your time. It’s clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated — perfect whether youre grabbing a quick bite or planning to hang out for a while. And we absolutely have to mention the owner. Such a sweet and friendly person! From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in what they do. It’s always a great sign when the person running the place treats you like a guest rather than just another customer. Overall, we had a lovely experience. Great food, lovely environment, and truly kind-hearted service. Highly recommend if youre in the area and craving a good doner!
