4 /5 Yasmin Abdeen: We visited this restaurant while in Guildford after seeing the Castle across the street. Although we didn’t have a reservation, the staff were polite and asked us to return in 30 minutes, promising a table—which they honoured.
The staff were friendly and helpful overall, though the food took a while to arrive. We did receive an apology for the delay, but without much explanation.
We ordered the spicy water spinach, which had a nice crunch but was a bit oily for my taste. The chicken and wok-fried chicken were flavourful, though also on the oily side; adding the chilli provided on the table gave the dish a good extra kick. The beef pho was a highlight—hearty broth with generous portions of meat.
Given how busy the restaurant was, I’d recommend making a reservation in advance to avoid waiting or being turned away.
