5 /5 George Anderson: Excellent pub, great British food done well. Great pint of Harvey’s and wonderful atmosphere. Exactly what was needed after a day walking in the South Downs. Was only in the area for a couple days but would make effort to revisit in the future.

4 /5 Martin Chilvers: A very popular and busy country pub with a varied menu. Good food served piping hot. Fresh vegetables a bit disappointing. Access is up a flight of steps from the ample car park. Booking is a good idea.

5 /5 Emma bond: Went for Sunday lunch as it came up on a Google search as one of the best around Lewes. Arrived early, and our table was clean and ready for us to have a drink before we ordered our food. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. The staff kept checking on us and were genuine as well. The food was beautiful. Lovely big slices of beef with the all beef option. Generous portions of everything actually and gave us extra gravy when we asked. The dessert menu was possibly the best Ive seen. Everything on it was tempting. One of my friends wanted a different ice cream with his cheesecake, which they gave, without hesitation. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Edaj Not: Found this place on Google whilst looking for nice country pubs and wow! The food was amazing and such good value for money. Plenty of on site parking and the pub itself is so lovely and spacious. staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating as we were a large table with a toddler. Lovely kids menu and appears to be dog friendly which is just lovely. I had the roast and the meat was cooked to perfection and the Yorkshire puddings was huge! I also loved that cauliflower cheese was included which is so rare nowadays. Highly recommend!!
