5 /5 A M: The best pub meal I’ve had in my 35 years lived. Simple dishes executed perfectly. Quality produce, lovely ambience and venue. Good service.
What was ordered:
Chicken liver parfait (the relish was balanced and clean, the brioche was light but crisp enough to hold the parfait)
“Fish and chips” (airy, crispy and light battered haddock with house cut chips. Perfect mint and pea sauce, clean tartare more on the side of mayonnaise but balanced when mix with the gherkin sauce)
Double cheese burger (the house cut smoked bacon was the star. The burger sauce was on point).
Onion soup, Mac and cheese, steak with chimicuri were also ordered.
Everything was faultless.
I look forward to my return.
