Chenestons Restaurant - (Near Lambeth, South East)

2 /5 Isabelle: We a group of people, we booked for dinner and pay deposit before we arrived, however, they prepare a set menu only for a few different courses instead of a menu that we can choose ourselves. The restaurant is super tiny, I think the chef is not enough, they serve food so slow, weve only order two starters and steak, takes about almost 2 hours. And the price its not even match the quality.

4 /5 Jinia Haldar: Great presentation with lots of complementary dishes outside of my orders, including a bread basket with yeast butter and salted butter, a fish cake, and raspberry mousse. I ordered lobster ravioli, short rib beef, mashed potatoes, and baked cheesecake. I found the gravy for the short rib and mashed potatoes to be too sweet and difficult to stomach, but the rest of the food was incredible. The restaurant is extremely upscale and classy with a vintage, almost Victorian feel to it. Its located within a fancy hotel where you are greeted by butlers and all the staff are in uniforms or suits, so keep that in mind - Im not sure how kid-friendly this place is, and it leans heavily into classic over modern. I would only go here for very important occasions, perhaps Christmas dinner with the parents or grandparents. Service was incredible - friendly, always on top of everything, and I never had to wait. The dishes came out quickly, with lovely plating. The meal came out to £120 for one, and I think that if its in your range, its worth a visit.

5 /5 Kim Woolley: Myself and my husband had an amazing evening sampling the taster menu. It was a lovely venue, with amazing staff, particularly Emma who gave us a romantic arrangement and Paolo gave amazing service. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly special evening. They also gave great catering to myself as a vegetarian and didnt feel I missed out compared to my husband who isnt a vegetarian.

5 /5 Christina: I am actually shocked this restaurant does not have more reviews. We came in with a very short notice reservation and were seated immediately. From the moment we arrived until the end of our dinner service the staff made sure we felt special. The restaurant is elegant and beautiful with very tasteful touches. The pianist added extra ambiance to what was already a very elegant evening and even gave up his seat briefly to my little one who was curious about the beautiful sounds he was making. We wanted to impress family that was visiting from overseas and after a visit to Kensington Gardens this was the perfect ending to our day.

5 /5 Timothy Baxter: Perfect service, formal but not oppressive - imaginative and delicious food. Every dish, from the complimentary amusé bouche to the dessert was a homerun. A perfect evening. Going back again before we leave London.
