La Pasta - (Near Islington, South East)

2 /5 Chris Tavan: We went there for a quick meal. That was a mistake. We ordered a Calamari fish to share - £ 7.95 - we ended up with 5 small dried pieces, see pictures. Then the pizzas came in. Mine, the Buratta - was very thin and dry, almost no tomato sauce. My friends one was a little better.. But far from what you would expect from an " Italan restaurant ". We originally ordered a half carafe of red wine at £ 13.50. We a rally sent it back. The wine was terrible and " fizzy ", and acidic, not as a new wine still fermenting.. The waitress took it back and said " they had that comment quite often. "... Maybe they should think about getting a better quality basic wine. Very disappointing meal for £ 57.00. The other Italian restaurant across the street would have probably been a better option by the number of customers there. What a waste of money.

1 /5 Caroline Lynch: The weather was unpleasant - cold, windy, and wet.. it was a delight to get into the warm restaurant! Unfortunately, that was the last thing that was a delight. The pasta my companion ordered was a bit dry for her taste, so she asked for an extra bowl of sauce. I ordered the chicken in creamy mushroom sauce, as usual. The sauce was lovely, the carrots were al dente, the fries were delicious. But the chicken.. was inedible, as tough as old boots. I have had this dish several times with no problem - I dont think I ever dare to have it again. I probably wont eat in this restaurant ever again. It didnt help that, as she was clearing away our things, she finally asked how our food was - and when I told her, she seemed not in the slightest interested, saying shed "tell the chef". No offer of replacement or refund. Watery wine too. Nah, they can keep it - the local Wetherspoons is better quality. Naturally, we didnt tip.

5 /5 Miraj R-B: I had a lovely meal at La Pasta. The staff were helpful, friendly, and attentive. The food was excellent and the lunch special is unbeatable. Starter and a main for £10.60!

4 /5 Noah S: Online there were cheaper prices than they actually were Very near to a Underground station, so very easy accessible if you’re going around by foot. Food was a bit to less and also relatively generic. Nonetheless the service was very good and the Ambiente fitting. I would recommend it if you just want to eat, but there are definitely better options.

5 /5 Andy Honey: Great place for fresh food. Great service and lots of choice. Can get busy quickly, so make sure you call ahead or pick a quiet time to dine.
