A Mann We visited the Horniman Museum and Gardens during half term, which meant it was very busy, but we didn’t mind at all. We went for a special (paid) workshop that was put on at the museum, which was fully worth the visit. While there we walked around one gallery and it was very interesting. Lots to look and interact it, especially for children. Would love to visit again and with better weather to enjoy the gardens. The view of central London is pretty awesome too.

Kristen Johnson Garthorne Road Nature Reserve is a lovely place to visit. Its a patch of land owned by Network Rail that the council are keen to keep as green spaces. Volunteers run them and have regular open days and volunteer days for the public. Best to check their Facebook page for details and dates. The nature reserve was originally part of the Great North Wood, an ancient landscape that covered the high ground between Deptford and Selhurst. It became fragmented due the development of south Londons suburbs.

Suzanna Ohlin Not a kid but still enjoyed myself greatly. There is also a splendid Dodo stone sculpture set between the instruments. Instruments indeed produce nice sounds and not just noise.

Kypriopoulla Visited the place couple of times and I never get bored with it. Is a place that I can be so near to nature in a middle of a busy city. Theres so much to explore and the history behind it how the then Camberwell Council bought it in 1905 for £6,100 and opened a public park. There are over 40 species of trees and so I have spotted a few birds too. Once you climb the hill I had a spectacular view over the City of London. Also theres an octagon concrete structure that it was used by the Royal Naval to defend London during the Blitz. A great place to visit but is a shame that some people leave rubbish behind and at the entrance of the park are big pieces of trash.
