Ali Baba Restaurant - Camden

Montgomery Dean Whole experience was exceptional. Can’t fault in anyway. A cool insight in to Egyptian food culture. Molakhia was really interesting in taste and texture. Loved the use of pickles and tahini as an accompaniment - works so well with the grilled meats. The place is family run and the hospitality was 10/10. Such friendly people and such good food. There was even a good vibe between the tables. One of my best meals of 2025 (it’s 2026 in less than two days).

Hitesh Gohil ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars — A fantastic night out! We had an evening meal with drinks at The Blues Restaurant & Bar in Camden, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. We were greeted by Don, who I believe is the maître d’ or the main host at the front door. He was incredibly polite, warm and genuinely thoughtful. At one point, when we stepped away to check out the dancefloor, he even made sure our glasses were covered—something most people wouldn’t think of, but it showed how considerate he was. Our server Mia was also extremely polite, friendly, and attentive. Another young lady (whose name we didn’t catch) looked after us as well—she was an Oriental girl wearing amazing Stradivarius jeans, which we couldn’t help but notice! She was just as helpful and lovely. Despite the place being completely full, the entire team worked so hard and handled everything with a smile. The music, the vibe, the crowd, and the atmosphere were all spot on. The soundtracks were brilliant and gave the whole place an energy that’s honestly a breath of fresh air. We’ll definitely be back for another night out. Highly recommend!

Yatri Indian Restaurant - Camden

Anju Gauli Visited yatri on Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was vibrant. The restaurant was clearly popular, with plenty of people walking in booking ahead is definitely recommended. Service was impressively quick, with our food arriving just minutes after ordering, which was ideal given the location near Euston. All of the dishes we ordered were served hot and tasted freshly made, with rich flavours and generous portions. The staff really stood out — everyone was friendly and attentive. A special thanks to Arnav(I am not sure of the name) for taking great care of us, and apologies for forgetting the name of the other team member who was also excellent. but overall a great experience and we’d happily return whenever we will visit to London.

Rack City Ribs - Camden

Rating: 4.6 /5
Danny Hooper I know Rack City has lots of options on its menu, but honestly, I keep coming back for the loaded fries / tots! Hefty amounts of rib meat, perfectly cooked and seasoned potatoes and lots of BBQ sauce. Service is done with a smile and they even got me my food a little earlier so that I could make a train! My only wish is that they could load them up with grated cheese melted under a grill rather than cheese sauce, but I know thats a me thing and other people love a cheese sauce!
speedys sandwich bar & cafe

Speedys Sandwich Bar & Cafe - Camden

Alexander Vladimirov Yes, this is THE Speedys — the iconic café right next to Sherlock and Watsons house! -) Of course, I mean the one from the BBC-series Sherlock. Right nearby is the entrance to "that very house" where the shows characters lived. Although these days the “221B” number has been removed and replaced with a plaque stating that an Italian patriot once lived here. The café itself is very nice and cozy - perhaps six tables inside, plus two outside. The menu is quite modest and limited (it used to be much larger, as you can see online). The walls are decorated with film stills and photos of the owner with the actors. The owner was there during my visit, but he seemed busy and concerned, so I didn’t want to bother him. I should note that there are always people here. You can get a seat, but patrons constantly come and go. Judging by the opening hours (Speedy’s is open from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays), the café still primarily serves local residents, not tourists. On the other hand, there are certainly fewer tourists now — there are many more TV shows, and Sherlock is mentioned less often… Speedy’s offers excellent service. The waiter told me how he was there during filming (having worked here his whole life) and was generally very friendly and cheerful. The food here is unpretentious - very simple, yet delicious. The bacon is absolutely outstanding. English tea is served in a large cup with milk already added -) But then again, people dont come here for culinary wonders; they come to see where one of the best TV series was filmed. You can reach Speedy’s by metro; the nearest station is Euston Square. As for prices, they’re remarkably low. Which is another reason to love Speedys -) A tasty café, a place of interest for any cinephile, and very, very reasonable prices.

Sun Dery Another lovely place from the makers of Mazal, the place is obviously over the hurdles and the restaurant is functioning very well, no delays, or any growing pains of a new place. The food was delicious, portions were big and atmosphere is fun just like Mazal.
