Alex H The Equitable is an old converted bank come shabby-chic Antic pub. The decor is nice. Great beer selection. The food isnt bad at all. Pricing is reasonable, particularly when you compare it to other up-market pubs in the area. The staff are very friendly. Definitely worth going.

A C A free to visit large-scale mural on the flood defence wall along the side of the the Woolwich Ferry over-flow carpark on the Southern side of the River Thames in Woolwich. Depicting a series of historical activities from Woolwichs past this work is best viewed from a distance to gain the full effect (although a closer view is also worth having to see the detail of how the work is formed). The only slight drawback is that when the Ferry is operation the carpark often has a number of larger vehicles in it which obstruct the view and you have to be mindful of the traffic - best times to visit would be when the Ferry is closed....
